Tandem Building Group – 04/2021

• Conducted ground works for a new multistorey Bunnings store, focusing on remediation and reuse of site materials.

• Managed disposal of clean fill and remediated site-won materials for onsite reuse, addressing the unsuitability of existing fill.

• Completed a thorough strip, excavating 600mm deep across the entire site and carefully segregating materials into separate stockpiles. Plant utilised GPS technology to ensure site was not over or under stripped.

• Implemented a meticulous process of mixing undersize rubble with clean fill to generate usable fill material.

• Replaced materials in 200mm layers, with each layer stabilized using an enzyme treatment, totalling 9,000m³ of material removed, treated, and replaced.

• Ensured compliance through regular checks and surveying of as-builts at the base and subsequent layers, guaranteeing a consistent 600mm depth of remediated material across the site.
